You’re reading The Bound Report. Every few days, I get medieval (astrology) on you and boss you around to keep you accountable to your creative life. Thanks for being here.

Twists up and down, a helix. Taut in contradiction.
To go forward, you must go back. To go back implies a future forward.
Pithy statements like, you never step in the same river twice, or you can never go home, sort of cascade in yr mind now. Wipe them away.
Do we go back? Do we arrive? If time is an illusion, are we ever born, and do we ever die?
I often think about the not-here-ness of existence. Not the not-anymore-ness, per se, but the not-yet-born of it all. Or the simultaneous inaccessibility of copresence. We can only be where we are until we use the loophole of our imagination to go elsewhere—and leave the here-and-now as a daydreaming vessel of inattention.

During this bound span, tickle the wild tangle of your thoughtworld. Unravel knots you once thought essential to your definition of self, or craft, or purpose. The task now is to use your hands, your mind, your cleverness. Find a trapeze or a strong tree branch and hang upside down. Let your brain slosh in your head and create new neural pathways that upend nostalgia. Or get mycelial about it. Whatever your poison.

Avoid severing anything; the time to cleave will come, and it will come swiftly. On April 14th at 17:16 Pacific, as Mercury goes back into Leo and the bounds of Mars, then you can get out the shears and snip. By then you may find yourself turning into a Frisör. (Gods the 90s German music scene was a trip and half).

Overall this bound is about retracing and sorting to get into right alignment; wheat/chaff; you know the drill.
The feeling of longing rests here because to undo, you have to enter the illusion of return. Know that it’s not a real return, can never be, and in those very moments of memories awakening, greet them as new, invite bits to continue on with you, and bid farewell to the rest.
{This is a taste of the coming Virgo season; I’m not sure if many people are aware how much Virgos have to say goodbye…}

On August 16 in the wee hours of 02:14 Pacific, Mars will take over and we get a cazimi reset on all that, still in our backwards review. See you then!
Love the reflection. Well written. One note, you wrote April 14 and I think instead it should be August 14
This is the best thing I’ve ever read re Mercury retrograde.
Poetry meets psychedelia meets Advaita Vedanta.
Keep in mind LSD became de rigueur when Pluto transited Virgo.
